Is the Free plan really free, forever?+
Yes. Every account gets a personal workspace on the Free plan with up to 4 seats and 1 project. There's no credit card and no time limit — it's the same product, just capped in scope.
How does per-seat billing work on Pro?+
Pro is $5.99 per editor seat per month — owners and editors are billable, viewers are free. Invite as many reviewers and stakeholders as you want at no extra cost. Adding or promoting an editor proration-charges the new seat for the rest of the cycle; removing or demoting one proration-credits the unused portion. vrdiff keeps the seat count in sync with Stripe automatically.
When does Max make sense over Pro?+
Max is $100 / month flat for unlimited users and projects. The break-even is around 20 seats — past that, Max is cheaper than Pro. It's also the right plan for organizations that prefer a predictable invoice over per-seat math.
What happens if I cancel?+
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so the workspace keeps Pro/Max until then. After expiry the workspace becomes read-only — projects, versions, and comments stay intact and accessible, but new publishes and members are blocked until you re-subscribe.
Can I switch between Pro and Max?+
Yes. Workspace owners switch plans through the Stripe Billing Portal, which prorates the change correctly so you only pay the difference for the remainder of the cycle.
Do you offer discounts for annual billing or non-profits?+
